I got lucky! I got to test this pattern for Mamachee! I just happened to be online when she called for testers. Plus, I had this very cute model. Mamachee calls this happy hat #2. You get two patterns in one with this one. One calls for sock weight yarn and the other that I tested calls for good ol' WW yarn.
I needed a little break from "smoke" and "fire". It was so nice to sit down and crochet with a purpose. We are very close to being back in our house. It will be 3 weeks on Monday. I still have a lot to put away (all of our "fabric" items were taken to a cleaner- curtains, bags, shoes, clothes, everything...) It's kind of like the longest move ever. We are thankful for everything and everyone that has helped, but we are so ready to be home. I would invite you all to stop by, but the introvert in me needs a little time locked in her own home...alone!
Oh, and don't be nervous. The yarn stash has started already. I must slow down!
