Every day...

The New Year is considered a starting over point.  We can crack the spine open of our new notebooks, feel confident that we can start over or even create a new us. But we forget...We forget that as children of God, everyday is a day to start over.  Through the grace of God we can treat each day like new-sins forgiven, second chances, an opportunity to try again.  Through the waters of baptism I am made clean everyday.

Create in me a clean heart, O God,
and put a new and right spirit within me.
~Psalm 51:10

  1. Hi! I came over from My Freshly Brewed Life. I love this verse! Actually all of Psalm 51, I love. How true, every day is another day live with a clean slate, a chance to love Him more.

    God Bless,

  2. Amen! Every time we confess our sins to God, He forgives and chooses to remember our sins no more. Each time He gives us a new start!

What a great reminder for the new year!

    In Christ,
    Laura

  5. Oh, you are so right. Because of His great mercy, every day is a new beginning, not just January 1st.

I love this verse. I pray that God will continue to create in me a clean heart, every day.
