Crazy Miscellany Monday!

Welcome Monday!  I must admit I'm not 100% happy to see you, but I will get over it by Tuesday.

You know it's been a long couple of hectic weeks when you put away all 7 of your hubby's clergy shirts from the clean laundry.  He only wears them for worship, visitations before funerals, and funerals.  It's also been a long week when hubby then leaves for a youth group weekend trip.  I truly do love the momentum of being a clergy family. Tonight we will be able to do family night after these last few crazy week and this week will hopefully involve an extra afternoon at home to help out and relax with the family!

We have a new god daughter.  After a 3 day induction, our friends finally had their baby girl Eva!  I can not wait to meet her and walk with her on her faith journey.  They are the godparents (baptismal sponsors) of our son too.  We are just making sure we will always be friends and stay in touch this way!

Bring on the swing set and sandbox!
This has been our favorite activities the last couple days.  I am a big fan of Cutter Yard Spray for mosquitoes.  I am beginning to love the back yard!

I ran 4 miles for the first time since last CC season this week.  It felt good and was a great accomplishment for me.  CC summer practices start in a few weeks and then in a little over a month I host our meet.  Once that is over I know it's all down hill.  I am feeling very confident about running the 10K in October and helping my team train for their season too!

The rice "bath" for a cell phone really does work!  The toddler dropped a glass of water on my new-to-me cell phone last week and I couldn't hear out of the ear piece post water bath.  So, I heard from a friend about the rice "bath".  Stick you cell phone in a tupperware container full of rice and then stick the lid on it.  Do not, for any reason, touch it for at least 24 hours.  (Or overnight it you're crazy in love with your phone like me).  I had to stick it in twice, but now it works just fine!  Thank goodness!

Enjoy the miscellany that is Monday over at Carissa's!

  1. Congratulations on your new God daughter! The swing set looks like so much fun. I have never heard of the rice bath for the cell phone. I will have to keep that in mind if I should ever decide to give my phone a bath in water.
