Be Still- The Water

Do you have the patience to wait till your mud settles and the water is clear? Can you remain unmoving till the right action arises by itself? Lao-tzu, "Tao Te Ching"

The right action.  The right decision.  Can I be still long enough to hear it or see it?  It seems right now in these busy last days of summer I can't do it.  I don't even have time to get to the water.   The choices and must do's are coming so fast that I can't take time to see how the pieces will all fit together.  It seems the decisions must be made right now.  And the decisions not being made "right now" are weighing heavy on me.  This week, my goal is to get to the water.  I need a moment by myself to pray first and then plan.  My praying and planning having been mixed up recently.  I have been planning and then praying it works out.  I need to settle by the water and wait for the right action to come through prayer and then plan.

Dear Lord, please help me to sit by your
calm waters and pray this week.  Help me to remain quiet and
unmoving until the action you put in
my heart speaks to me.  Amen

I'm linking up with One Nutty Girl and working hard at being still!

  2. Oh, Amen, Lindy. Really. Being still is such a hard thing in the busyness of life.

  3. I will admit my praying and planning are totally mixed up too! I think a lot of days I'm forgetting to even pray all together! We really do need those moments alone to achieve this. They are so hard to get, it seems you have to fight hard to get them. I so need my kids to understand that mommy needs her alone time too! I end up feeling so mean about it. Thanks for this post and linking up with your words! I appreciate them so much!
