Learned my lesson

Yesterday I was mad and frustrated. I get so frustrated when hubby asks to take my computer to his job. My mac was a gift to me when he finished seminary. Yes, we both use it, but it's mine. He has his own PC sitting right behind me in the living room. You see, they only have one computer in his office. If the secretary is there than he's kind of out of luck. So when she asks for his newsletter article or he needs to type an agenda or letter he has to come and work on it. He usually comes home for lunch and then stays since the boys are both napping. Well, the boys didn't nap as well yesterday and he couldn't get his work done before they woke up. So then he asked the dreaded questions. Can I take your laptop to work? What?!?!?! You mean take away my only connection to the outside world? No, but I guess that is not the correct answer. So yes you can take it, but bring it back right away.

Needless to say I was a little mean and mad at him. Again, why MY computer for HIS work? But then something happened. Martin and I had a great afternoon. Matthew slept for a little bit and we were able to play ball outside (in his new to us baseball cleats), we read a pile of books, and I watched him play with his trains. Wow. It was just awesome. I learned my lesson that I don't need this computer. I am on it too much, but that doesn't mean he can take my mac to work whenever he wants. Because that leaves me with a PC and I get a little sick thinking about it. I love my mac, but not as much as my son MAK and his little brother MBK. Lesson learned. Over and out...

  1. Oh I love this. I would totally feel the same way about being without my computer but your words are an awesome reminder that our computers aren't everything!
