Baptism

I've been thinking more and more about my baptism today and "living wet" everyday.  I was checking out www.welca.org to send some links to a friend and was just reminded of many wonderful things.  I found this prayer and I thought it was a good one.  I really like the last line "I invite you in".  That's a daily thing isn't it....I can go all day without inviting God into the normal everyday things that go on.  I can rush from here to there forgetting that I am a Child of God and washed in the water!  Alleluia for that.  Sins forgiven and grace freely given.  

A Simple Water Thanksgiving

Thank you for the water that I drink,
Thank you for the water in my sink,
Thank you for the rain from above,
Thank you for water signs of your love,
Dear God, who washes me of my sin,
With thanks for this day, I invite you in.
