A few weeks ago I finished reading Money Secrets of the Amish by Lorilee Craker. It was one of the suggested readings from the newest MOPS book Mom Connection by Tracey Bianchi. This book must have been good because I'm still thinking about it even after I returned it to the library.
I know there are so many books out there about finances and money. I have read some. The surprising thing is, I liked this one the best. My personality is very much type A. I love a good list and things to check off each day. The problem is, with money sometimes you can't cross things off very fast and you can get discouraged.
This book was full of principals. I have truly taken some things to heart as a way of living and spending/saving money instead of just checking something off of a list. Instead of specific items, I can do what works for me following some time tested advice of the Amish.
It was a fast read and I thought it was a good book. There is something about simplicity that sounds so wonderful!
