A little something ruffled...

I just finished this ruffled flower and posted it in my Etsy shop!
It's a mamachee pattern and can also be felted.
I'm feeling a calling to felt something.
I helped a friend last week felt a bag.
Thankfully I still have the top load washing machine that is required!
She owes me something....or not.
It is actually really relaxing to watch your washing machine swoosh something around for 15 minutes.
Try it!

My wonderful, awesome, imaginative kid wanted a bow tie like this one.
He wanted an orange one.
And a microphone.
He wants to be an actor!
(Please help me!)
I did make him an orange bow tie.
He wore it yesterday to MOPS!

Speaking of MOPS.  It was amazing.
I think I become a better wife because of MOPS.
Seems a little backwards because it's suppose to be for mothers.
Toddlerhood is pretty hard on marriages.
Marriage is work.
Marriage is not a competition.
Marriage is not an equal give and receive.
Marriage is unconditional love.
Marriage is knowing your boundaries...
It's knowing that you have the power to truly hurt someone or build them up.
It's choosing to build that person up all. the. time.
It's praying for that person. all. the. time.
It's praying for your relationship all. the. time.
Have I mentioned it's not all fair and equal
(Dang it, I'm a first born, I need this reminder all. the. time.)

If you've stayed with me this long
only one more thing
and it probably can be applied to marriage.

Grace is scandalous,
and I can see how someone who has lived a responsible life
might get frustrated by it.
I really, really can.
Grace is totally unfair.
(posted by Glennon @ Momastery)

Marriage is not fair
but it is full of grace.
Grace that I need
every. single. day!
