Pinterest

Well, I'm on pinterest.  You can check out my boards with the link on the side of my blog!  What was I thinking?!?!?  It's very addicting.  I heard about it at my MOPS convention.  The creative activity ladies were really excited about all the fun projects you could pin from it!

Speaking of convention.  What a great 5 days.  I missed my kids terribly and my hubby!  I'm so glad I went though.  I have a little post I'm rolling around in my head that I will get to later.  It was a lot of information, a lot of people, and a lot of fun!

Just before I left the kitchen sink started leaking.  It quickly spiraled out of control.  We are now looking at cabinets, countertops, sinks, and faucets.  The name of the game in our beautiful parsonage is "it was custom"!  The person that owned it before the church built a pretty cool home.  I have a 38 inch sink that's well over 9 inches deep!  Do you know they don't make that size anymore?!?!?  Or maybe even ever!  I have looked at some counter tops and was all ready to get moving when somebody mentioned cabinets.  These have been here since the dawn of time (or the early 60s) and could use some help.  I know, you hear horror stories about pastors living in parsonages.  I don't have one of those.  I have wonderful people who know I love this house and want it to be our home.  We have a temporary fix on the faucet so we can figure out what we can do with the rest of the kitchen!  Because I don't live in a horror story parsonage, I get to help make the decisions.

Anyway, while it won't be my dream kitchen it still is a dream!  It is the biggest kitchen I've ever had and it will be fixed and I get to help!  Because of pinterest, I started tagging some really cute retro kitchen that might just make it into our retirement home!  (By then they won't be retro, but old fashioned, classic, or something like that...)  Here are some fun things I've found!  It is my dream to own a formica diner table someday....luckily I already have the fiesta ware to complete the look! I think I might need to find some pyrex though!

For some reason I'm loving the red and teal!  This is the kind of table I would want!
