We are big into "Bubble Guppies" at our right now. They sing this little ditty "line up everybody line. line up everybody line up."
I've got a whole bunch of things on my list to line up! I'm leaving in a few days for the MOPS International Convention in Nashville. I've got that itchy feeling of needing pack but also not wanting to leave the babies. I already took a trip this year. I'm sure the little one will walk and it will just make me sick. I know once I get there it will be fun and inspirational and it's only a few days (and it better involve a nap or two)!
I ran a 10K today and finished over 6 minutes faster than the last one I ran in October! I was below half in my age group but finished in 59:05. There were not as many people running the 10K and a lot of them looked like hard core runners. I'm still proud of myself. I had some rough training weeks with the heat. I hadn't run over 4 miles for probably 3 weeks. Luckily I ran a few times and my brain knows that if I can run 3 miles (or 4) I can double it. That crazy fact is from my days of high school cross country! It was a nice course though. They bused us out to the start and you ran along the lake all the way back in.
I'm testing my first crochet pattern. Man, math is tricky! I love math which is probably why the pattern is confusing to me. Sometimes the math isn't adding up. The finished item looks so cute though and this is why there are testers. I can't wait to share it with all of you and then find it a home!
The boys and I made a quick trip to the lake today. My goal was that they would nap after we had a picnic lunch and came home. Success with the little one. The big one fell asleep in the car and then hasn't wanted to lay down again. You can only imagine how I'm feeling now. Like I need a big giant nap....
Well, "Bubble Guppies" is over and I hear somebody stirring in their crib. Look out for some pictures and some new stash busting craft projects!
Have fun at the conference. We're going our own training here for our DGLs and Mentors, just a mini partial-day retreat. I've never been to a MOPS Convention. Sounds like fun!
