Finding Joy- Favorites

I knew I would need to link up today!  I needed to remember to find joy and be blessed by all the wonderful things in my life!

The joy and thankfulness for having coached cross country!
What a trip it was.  One that ended this week when the our school board was forced to make almost $350,000 in budget cuts for next year.  Coaching was an experience.  One I never knew if I wanted to keep doing.  It was challenging and made me work at something.  I'm resting in the fact that something (or maybe nothing) will be coming and that God has a new plan in store for me this fall!

The joy & thanksgiving in the Alleluia returning!
You can read about the Alleluia leaving & returning in these posts!  (HERE & HERE)
In our church we put the alleluia away during the time of Lent.  We walk the solemn journey remembering our sin and preparing for the death and resurrection of Christ!  Then on Easter morning we bring it back!  (Do you see the Alleluia in front of the church?  The SS kids made those a few years ago!)
I must admit this Lent (as most with children) have been a struggle for me.  I have not be able to worship and prepare like I want for Easter.  All I know now is, "It may be Friday, but Sundays comin'"

There is joy & thanksgiving in vacations (and weddings)
We will be able to head out on vacation after Easter.  I'm ready for a time of rest and different scenery.  I'm also ready to spend some time at the castle (my hubby's seminary) and at home getting ready for my sister's wedding.   Two weeks of family & friends!

I'm linkin' up with Rachel for the first time.  After yesterday (losing my coaching job, miscommunication with the baby sitter, not getting enough done, and typical toddlers and preschoolers at church) I need to be thankful and joyful today.  Sunday is coming!  What a day to be thankful.

  1. I am always so excited to have the ALLELUIA return. One of my favorite memories of Easter morning is the dialogue -- He is risen -- He is risen indeed!

Thanks for linking up. I appreciate your list and searching for joy.

  2. I'm so impressed by your attitude about your coaching job. I'm way too quick to let anything job/"non-home" related stress me out! But, we know God's plan is good.

Happy Easter! (Thank you for your sweet compliment. It made my morning!)
