PEEK!
Chewy makes me smile. Except at night. We are finally sleep training him. Last night was horrible. Tonight can only be better. Too add to the stress we've displaced The Bops and he's sleeping on his mattress in our room while poor Matthew cries a little. He cried off and on every 5 to 10 minutes for over an hour last night. I'm hoping 2 good naps today will help tonight be more successful.I can't tell you how thankful I am for my friend Jaime (we met at MOPS)! She took my kids yesterday so I could get my hair cut and go to the grocery store alone. I have a new "mommy" do, but I'm fine with it. Honestly I love short hair. I had really really short hair in high school and have never had hair past my shoulders. I used to get annoyed when people said it was a mommy do even though I'm a mommy. Now, I just am coming to realize I look great in short hair and I like it. So there...I'm a mommy with a new do, a mommy do!:) The grocery store could have turned into a disaster if both boys would have been with me. Bless Jaime! She has twins and a one year old at home. I was able to use some coupons (which never happens) and got all of the food for our church council dinner this weekend. I'm talking a cart full including the seat. I'm guessing at this point about 25 people will be here. I love hosting things like this. We move the couch and put 8 foot tables in the living room and have a great time. I've got one soup done and am working on a cheese cake later today. I'm anxious to post pictures and some of the menu. I love my cheese cake (I use vanilla wafers for the crust). I've tried a new soup and it should be a fun evening!
I've been in a reading and crafting mood which is really normal for me. I found a mystery series at the library about a crocheting group. I loved it. A really easy read but so great! I think they also have a scrap booking one (probably won't read) and a knitting one (might read even though I don't knit) by different authors. I've got a list of a few projects to finish including some hats for a new baby I know! I also really want to work on some tea towels. My friend and I might get a booth at the women's expo next fall in town and I was thinking those might sell well. Who knows what else I might come up with to make!
Oh, a God thing. We've been struggling with pre school options for the Bops. He needs to go but the option in town just doesn't work for us this first year. It will be great when he turns 5 and isn't going to kindergarten, but it's just too much for his first year. Well, one of the schools in the big town we were thinking of has drop in preschool second semester on Fridays. I found out about it at MOPS on Tuesday. I'm so excited to try it. I think the Bops is too! It will be great to see how he does and if he likes it.
the Bops and friends from MOPS. I'm so blessed by my MOPS friends and so is Boppers!
The rest of the week is at home days for us. I've got a lot to get ready for and we've been gone to Nebraska for a few days! I'm hoping to catch up on blogging, pictures, and The Bops baby journals. I would love to have Bops journal done before Chewy's first birthday. I also need to get invitations for his party! Whew! The list just keeps growing.
You are already starting off to a VERY busy year! The pics are so cute though! I liked your hair in high school!
ReplyDeleteGood for you to plan!!! And I love the pics of your little ones.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your prayers for Samuel.
Blessings, friend!
