The tree!

It all started last night!  We ended up on a marathon date with 3 other couples.  3+ hours later we were finally fed, had a few good laughs, and headed home.  It had been stormy here Thursday evening, Friday evening, and it was breezy tonight!  So breezy in fact...

Our tree finally fell down!  We didn't hear it.

Luckily it missed my friend Jana's truck.  We didn't hear it because we were busy

listening to Martin cry about getting his hair cut.  We got some men over to help us out and we cut the tree up and ended up cutting down the other side.  All during dinner time, right after I had started baking!

I baked this really cute giant muffin.  I found this awesome bread baker at a local pottery place in Hannibal, MO while on vacation.  I'm already in love with it.  Dishwasher safe, you can grease it, microwave it, bake it, etc.

Luckily I found this delicious recipe from a friend today (It's called a doughnut muffins) because I needed it.  While the boys were hauling the tree away, my son got a little crazy with our friend.  He ended up managing to break a halogen light bulb from our kitchen fixture.  Don't ask...

Lucky for him he's so cute.  I stepped on a piece tonight that didn't get swept up and now have a band aid on my foot.  All in all, it was a great day.  No more dead tree, I got to bake, and my little toddler is such a handsome boy!

  1. That is a HUGE muffin! I love the muffin pot. Cool.

So glad the tree missed your friends car -- cool pictures, though.
