2 kids

Wow.  Life with 2 kids has been pretty fun!  We've been busy, but are having fun.  Luckily Matthew is eating well now so I feel like I can get out of the house.  He sleeps pretty well at night, but sure fights sleeping during the day!  I'm keeping up with the laundry, but that's about it.  I seem to be able to stay on top of the kitchen, but the rest of the house is usually pretty messy.  Our biggest accomplishment though is that we have a play room for Martin.  Now most of the "mess" in our house is contained to his new room.  (I will post more on that later).

I was able to finish our book for book club this week.  I'm anxious to meet up with the MOPS moms that read it to have some time out of the house.  Little Matt Matt will come with though.  After the trouble he had learning to eat, I'm not going to work on the bottle until next week.  He will need to take a bottle for a few fun things we have planned coming up, but I'm not worried about it yet.

My goals have sure changed in the last couple weeks.  I do have to be careful to remember that my goals for Matthew can't grow faster than he can.  I remember all the things we did with Martin, just not the time frame.  I can't rush certain things.  Now that we have a toy room my goal for less TV for Martin and more playtime, that already going well.  He went right to his room this morning and has watched only two shows since he got up.  He is handling the baby pretty well, but wanted to watch a show while I fed Matthew and who can blame him?  He just wanted to be by us.  As for less computer time?  Not yet, it seems that I spend a lot of time on it while I'm feeding or rocking the baby.  I am hoping to keep getting better at it.  Instead of computer, I'm hoping to continue to read something or flip through a magazine.  Or just look at his tiny cute little face!  I am getting more and more ready for the 5K in May.  I feel really good, just haven't tried running.  I need to continue to take good walks each day.

I'm still working on getting a handle on having some "me" time and getting other things done.  I love to crochet and read and even do a little crafting.  It will still take time to add those back into my schedule.  I will get to craft a little this evening.  The best baby-sitter ever is coming over to help me with a MOPS project.  Once we get it all done I will be able to do a demo project to make sure it works.  Here's hoping that 3 sets of hands and only two children will mean we can get the project started!
