I was a little nervous that I would spend most of my time skimming through a tough read that didn't capture my attention, but that wasn't the case. He (the author) is a wonderful story teller. Honestly though, you kind of have to enjoy running or at least have enjoyed it at one time in your life. It's an interesting mix of history and a modern world of running you never knew existed. I am actually thinking I will read it again after baby #2 is born when it's time to get back to running. It was fairly inspirational. If you run, don't you want to run with a smile on your face?

Since I have absolutely no desire to run (ever!) I probably wouldn't "get" this book very well! Lol! But I just noticed your recipe below and it sounds really yummy! I think I just might have to try it!
ReplyDeleteGreetings from Wisconsin. I found your blog by clicking on the link in my profile that said pastor's wife. It's always fun to connect with someone in the same "profession." I enjoyed looking around. Hope things go well with your pregnancy.
