Surprise!

Surprise!  I learned a few things last night from a church member who lives nearby.  She came over to take a look at my "garden" and yard and offer me some (asked for) help.  Here are some things I learned

1.  I didn't plant tulips.  I planted hyacinth bulbs last fall.  That would mean that I am going to have hyacinth flowers this spring.  I am very excited.  I guess I just kept saying tulips because that's what everyone plants.  She said they will look really pretty and smell wonderful.  I can't wait!

2.  I have a problem underneath the big bush in the back.  I have creeping charlie or some horrible weed like that.  It's actually all weeds under there.  I'm going to have to cut a bunch of branches off the bush to get under there.  

3.  I think I will like planting annuals.  I was very against until she told me that they flower all summer if I take care of them correctly.  I'm excited.  I will be going to look for some annuals soon.
