List #1

I'm a list maker.  Here is one.

I updated my running tab.  I'm at 240 miles for the year.  Almost half way!  Yipeee.  I've been reading a few things (you can click the "500!" tab to see- scroll all the way to the bottom) and here is what I want to work on between now and the half in October....

1.  Run hills
2.  Run speed/track workouts at least once every 2 weeks.
3.  Work on my midfoot strike in my form.
4.  Wear my stupid water belt when I go to run over an hour.  Duh!
5.  Run Striders 2-3x a week.
6.  Work on my core.
7.  Figure out what my cross training is.

I honestly had to stop reading the book and magazine because this is plenty.  I will have to drive to run both hills and do track work outs.  That changes when and where I run.  The mid foot strike wasn't terrible today but I've been running for 15 years and have gotten lazy with my form.  It will take a while before it's habit and I don't have to think anymore.  On a happy note, it did take some pressure of my shin (and the shin splints) to get my foot strike right.
