The boys and I needed a little grace today. Sometimes it's tough being a mom and being a kid. So, I pulled a little Kelle Hampton and packed us up for the beach. It was cold (54 degrees) but we didn't care. We loaded up a quick picnic, our tonka trucks, baseball gloves, and crocs.

The boys played for a while and I even read a magazine. It was just right being outside. I'm glad we did it!
I posted earlier that this summer was going to be about relationships. I think my relationship with my kids is what God had in mind when I thought about that. I assumed it was friends and other relationships, but my boys and I seem to need a little grace from each other. So, the dishes aren't done, the laundry is in the halfway stage, and we are a little sandy, but very happy!
