Having a Mary Heart In A Martha World is an amazing book. Do you struggle with finding the balance between work and worship? Finding intimacy with God? I think we all do. I have read this book more times than I can count. I still have little parts of it taped to my bathroom mirror as reminders. I pray constantly for God to show me the next step, which is one of the things Mrs. Weaver suggests in her book. This book has really opened my eyes and drawn me closer to God.
The book contains a chapter by chapter bible study in the back. I have done it in a small group, one on one with a friend, by myself, and even here on my blog! Her book is full of the Good News that comes in Christ. If you haven't read this book, you need to enter this giveaway! If you don't have your own copy of this book, you need one. And if, like me, you love this book and own your own copy, you need one to give away to a friend.
You can find Joanna Weaver on her blog, Facebook, or her website!
How to win your own copy?
Leave me a comment telling me if you are more of a Mary or a Martha? Would you drop everything to worship Jesus or continue working in the kitchen and be too busy to sit as Jesus' feet?
I will draw a winner Monday, January 30th in the morning! The winner will have 48 hours to contact me or I will draw again.
Thanks again to Joanna Weaver. She has provided me with a copy of this book. I truly love this book and am so thankful to share it with others.

This sounds like a great book.
ReplyDeleteI think I tend to be more of a Martha. I'm to "practical" and want to be "doing something".
Thanks for your comment on my blog today!
I love this book too! I think I am more of a Mary but boy do I have Martha tendencies.
ReplyDeleteI am definitely a Martha :(
ReplyDeleteUgh. So a Martha. I want to read this book!
ReplyDeleteI am so excited about this giveaway. I have wanted to read this book.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I'd have to say that I am more like Martha. It's bad. It drives me crazy when there is stuff that needs to be done and people stand around and visit. You know, how is it that our head can KNOW that they are doing what's best (because Jesus said so), but we still get so torn up inside about it?
Obviously, I would LOVE to win!
It would depend on the day... some days I think I could honestly say that I am a Mary and others I am definitely a Martha
ReplyDeleteI think I'm a martha!
ReplyDeleteI would definitely classify myself as a Martha. I struggle with finding balance between the two and, though I haven't read the book yet, I think it would be very helpful. Thanks for doing this giveaway, Lindy!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like just the kind of book I really need! Count me in!
ReplyDeleteI have always wanted to read this book. I unfortunately am more of a Martha than a Mary, although I truly have the heart of a Mary. It's hard for me to stop and be, to sit still in His presence. Something I am working towards!
ReplyDeleteBarbie took the words right out of my mouth! D
ReplyDeleteI am a toss up between the two, just call me Marytha. I'd love to read this book.
ReplyDeleteI would love to read this one, although I don't think Martha has it all wrong! I am, not surprisingly, usually more Martha than Mary. But you need a little of both, right?
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I want to say how much I enjoy your blog - happy anniversary!! I am mostly Martha, with a little Mary, when I allow myself.
ReplyDeleteNow is it bad that I'm not sure what Mary or Martha did. I'm not up on my Bible stories anymore. Maybe it's because I married a Jew ;) The only reason I'd prefer to be Martha is because it was Grandma's name. (yes, I know this is not the response you were looking for!)
ReplyDeletei would like to say i'm more of a mary. and i think for the most part i am. of course there is always a bit of martha in me as well. ;)
ReplyDeleteI cant believe it....a book I havent read! I must say I think Im probably more of a Mary but then there are times I probably tend to be more of a Martha!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a great book...I would love to read it! I'm a combination of Mary and Martha :)
ReplyDeleteI would like to think I am a "Mary" but being completely honest with myself I know I am more of a "Martha." I have to work hard to get up very early in the mornings to ensure that I spend time at my Saviors feet. And then some days I still manage to get too "busy" and miss the opportunity. (quiet time is rare around here) :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogoversary!
