Squares #5 & #6

Whoa!  Where did the time go.  I'm feeling behind behind behind.  We've been on vacation for almost two weeks.  We will be heading home tomorrow!  My sister's wedding was this weekend.  Thankfully I was able to complete one square.  My hubby will happily drive us home tomorrow and if the boys behave I will be all caught up on squares when we get back.  My project list is dwindling which is nice.  I have a few things I want to start, but I have to stay focused!

This is the Starfire Square.  I enjoyed this one (what I can remember of it..the wedding has turned my brain into mush).  I am hoping to quickly finish up this multi colored yarn.  Every time I pull it out of my bag I just want to toss it.  It doesn't feel cuddly like a blanket.  I'm trying to only do little bits at a time in each square!

Personally not my favorite, but more because of brain mush than the pattern.  I pulled out two rows because I didn't read the pattern right and because I thought I had enough yarn to complete another row in the ivory and I ended up 10 stitches short.  The Victorian Dream Square is actually pretty simple and would look great as the center to a lap throw or something similar!

Still squaring away at Hooked on Handmade!

  1. Your squares a lovely! I'm glad I'm not the only one who tries to sneak in yarn I'm not too thrilled with just to get rid of it. :)

The Victorian Dream Square pattern was hard for me to follow at times, too. Yours came out great!
