Green Cleaner!

This may not look very creative, but in honor of Earth Day later this month I thought our MOPS group might enjoy this!  It fits both the greener thinking mama's and the frugal mama's.

Why had I never purchased Borax before?  This will not be the last time I do!
Cast of Characters for your Green Cleaner
So here are the cast of characters for my creative activity and Make Something Monday!  I found the recipe here!  It calls for Borax, Washing Soda, Dishwashing liquid, vinegar, and warm water.  You can add essential oils if you want a lovely scent for your cleaner.  I left that out due to keeping our project on a budget.  I did order the washing soda and Borax from Amazon, but I think you can find Borax pretty easily in stores.

I've been using the cleaner this week and I think it works just fine.  It said you can use it in the bathroom or kitchen and I've done both.  If the spots are stuck on (think preschooler and toddler in the kitchen) then just spray and let it sit for a few minutes!  I laminated the little tags with my Xyron and have the "recipe" printed on the back in case the ladies in my group want to make more of it.

Making a little something different for "Make Something Monday"!

  1. I like it. I'm heading out to the store today. Just might need to pick up the ingredients. What a great idea!

  3. Awesome! Thanks so much for posting this. I'm going to have to try it.

My mom and I have made our own laundry detergent (she still does) and we were able to find Borax at Walmart and the washing soda in smaller grocery stores. :)
