What in the world?

I don't know what in the world has been taking up so much of my time.  I could use the old stand by "I'm busy" but we all are busy.  I guess I've just been out of sorts this week.  No post, I haven't been reading much other than my fiction book, trying to plan a chili cook off, embroider tea towels as prizes for the cook off, not a lot of bible study or bible reading (I'm way behind in my reading of Acts), and trying to get a birthday party ready amongst the normal stuff has gotten me overwhelmed.

We are reading the book of Acts in our bible study at the country church my hubby serves.  We meet after late worship and just have a discussion.  I'm about 9 chapter behind and need to read through Chapter 12 for this week.  I still get something out of it even if I don't have it read, but I would like to catch up.  I'm also very behind in my bible study for MOPS.  I have had to miss a few meetings due to the usual stuff and haven't been able to catch up!

I just got my copy of Joanna Weaver's new book Lazarus Awakening.  I am such a fan of her other books. I'm very anxious to start this one.  The library just called and 3 of my requests are in today so I wonder when I will get it started.

Our families come this weekend for Chewy's first birthday party.  I will have to see if they can help set up for the chili cook off.  It just seems to be one thing after another.  I'm anxious for a relaxing time on Monday though.  Our conference women's gathering is out at camp.  Hopefully it will be a time of renewal.  I'm needing some renewing in my life.

The almost one year old has finally decided to roll over and get a tooth.  Took him long enough!

I think it's time to get moving.  Maybe cross a few things off my list.  Like, baking a lion cake, browning about 8 pounds of hamburger, figuring out the birthday party menus, and cleaning the house for the big party!  Hoping for some time to slow down and just enjoy things.
