I found the idea for these bags this summer on Martha Stewart's website. I couldn't help myself and ended up buying the book Simply Sublime Bags which is where this pattern came from along with lots of other cool bags to make!
This is a sample of the one for our next MOPS meeting. It's duct tape and staples. Doesn't get better than that huh? I think it's the perfect bag for heading to the library or the pool this summer (its got iron on vinyl in the inside of the bag).
I had some extra fabric and duct tape and was able to try this little guy. I loved this book. A few of the projects were low sew and I know I will be able to do them even with my terrible sewing skills! This was a fun way to spend afternoon nap time a few days ago!
I saw this over at Martha Stewart too. I love that you do stuff like this at your MOPS group. We do crafts too, but not as involved. I might have to forward some of your posts to our Craft Coordinator. Hadn't thought about doing something like this. Good idea.
