Miscellany Monday- Packing Edition

ONE- I'm packing my boys up this week and heading to visit my parents.  We are really excited.  Right after my son was born, they bought a new house and I have never seen the inside.  My toddler is really excited to go visit Nana and Pa.  Hubby will have to stay home though and work.  Hopefully he can get a lot done at the office while we're gone!  Anyway, since this is my first trip to my 'rents by myself with both boys, my dad has offered to come get us!  That's right...he's going to drive 6 hours to get us and then drive us home!  This could actually be relaxing for me.

TWO- I will have to pack my running shoes.  I'm still in training mode.  Gotta get ready for cross country and the road race we are doing in October.  We ran a two miles race this Saturday for our annual town "festival".  I did fairly well, but was still in the 17-29 age category.  I just couldn't compete.  My hubby though got 3rd!  I was really proud of him.  Maybe there is one good thing about turning 30 next year, I might be able to get a cute ribbon after I run.

THREE- We had a great time at our town festival.  Lots of people and stuff going on.  Martin loved watching softball, baseball, listening to the band, checking out the tractors and catching candy at the parade.  I'm sad I didn't get any mini donuts at the food stand, but there is always next year!

FOUR- I can't wait for my favorite shows to come back on for the summer.  We love PSYCH and WHITE COLLAR on USA.  It's always fun in the evenings to sit with my hubby and just watch tv.  It actually also gives me more time to crochet!

FIVE- I had to get a new cell phone last week.  I ordered it on ebay and finally took it in.  It seems that dropping my other one repeatedly had caused some damage! (Who'd of thought?)  It kept shutting off on me or losing my text messages.  Slightly annoying.  I actually need to read the manual on how to use this one.  I couldn't even figure out how to make a phone call at first.  I think I prank called my mom about 4 times trying to figure it out!  Maybe I can read the instructions in the car on the way to my parents...nah.  I will read something a little more entertaining!
