Crafty Attempt

MOPS may not even be over for the year yet (we have one steering meeting left) but I am already thinking about next years crafts.  I have two reasons for doing this.  The first is, I always want to try them early to make sure they work and see what type of supplies I need to be saving (like magazines).  The second is, I have decided to coach Cross Country again at the high school this fall.  I have a meet to put on, practices to run, and races to get too.  It will be nice if I can get the fall semester crafts nailed down in my head so I don't have to worry about it during Cross Country.  I will probably try to come up with enough for the whole year, but I know from experience the projects are bound to change.  Who knew this year we would be making health kits for Haiti?  I leave my options open, but need ideas just in case.

So, here is my first idea!  I found it on "How About Orange?"  I haven't had time to search more of her blog, but this one is a keeper.  It's a recycled gift bow.  How perfect for our meeting in November?  Get a jump start on the holidays.  Wow, I'm thinking ahead.  You can find the instructions right here.

This is my third attempt at getting it right.  I first tried to use old scrap booking paper and it didn't work well.  I'm sure it would if I tweaked the size of the paper strips a little, but I didn't figure that out until later.  So, grab a magazine or some paper (thinner than scrap book paper) and see if it works for you!

  1. Just stopping by to say hi and see if you got your new design up! I see you did and I love it! I was thinking that the pic of your and your hubby when you went to the concert would be perfect to put in the header and I see that's what you did! I love it!

Hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day!

    Love,
    Ver
