Our Wedding

Photobucket

I'm hooking up again with Mama M!  A quick little post on my wedding day.  Can you imagine for once I don't think I was totally crazy and overly concerned about what happened at my wedding.  Maybe my mom would disagree, but I didn't want a lot of people and we didn't decorate the church.  I think I did things pretty easily if you ask me.

Now the favorite things- putting on my dress.  I just loved my dress.  A bunch of girls from my dorm our senior year were all getting married and we always had so much fun going in to try our dresses on.

I also really enjoyed seeing my hubby for the first time.  We met in the chapel. Hubby with his bum foot from our trip to Alaska with the youth from the church earlier that month.  That's another pretty fun memory.  We didn't do the regular "honeymoom" we moved after our wedding.  So instead we went with the youth group as sponsors to Alaska.  I love Alaska and it was very eye opening and interesting to help the people that live there.

Do you see the cane and the fact that he's only wearing one shoe?

And my last favorite memory of our wedding...In Alaska we saw so many homeless people and those without food, so it was very fitting that someone showed up at the back door of our reception hall and asked for food.  He didn't join us, but was given a plate and sat out back and ate of our wedding feast.  I'm glad we were able to share that with the man.
