Nope, we're not taking one yet. We have lots to do before we can take a vacation, but I was just dreaming. We need to have a baby first, visit family in Nebraska, pay some bills, save up for our vacation with friends in 2011, you get the picture. What I really want though is a vacation that doesn't involve anyone else. Just our family... I don't want to visit family on the way or anything like that. I just want to pack my family up and go somewhere. Just the 4 of us. We seem to say we take "vacations" a lot, but they never really are. We are either visiting family, on a work trip for hubby, or (for the first time ever this Christmas) just sitting at home.
We do have a "vacation" planned in May, but again, it's with family. Not that I'm not excited, but it won't be just the four of us. We will head to St. Louis again for what is becoming an annual trip with hubby's family. We visit his grandparents, hang out in St. Louis with his parents, and make sure we see a couple baseball games. Now don't get me wrong I won't give up my baseball games for anything, but sometimes, in the words of my son, "I just want to do it myself". Can you sense my introverted self needing a little attention. Too many "people" lately!
After the baby is born I'm sure we'll head to Nebraska and I'm hoping we can go to the zoo so Martin can have some fun, but again, there will be other people and we will be staying at my parents. Luckily martin doesn't know the difference and will just love it if Nana comes to the zoo with him (or does anything with him really).
So if I could plan a vacation where would I go? Hawaii comes to mind right away, but probably not with kids and probably not for a few years. Maybe Florida or California. I really haven't done any research, but a kid friendly place would be a ton of fun for Martin and our family (maybe a chance to see a baseball game too!).
Well that's my day dreaming for today since it's barely above 0 degrees, Hubby has been gone for almost 24 hours, and I'm super duper tired of people and of being pregnant! THE END!:)
Another pastor's wife here. I found you through blogger. Nice to "meet" you!
