Isolation

Isolation stinks.  Not just the isolation of location, but in our calling, our lives, having kids, our finances etc.  Most of the time the isolation in my life is not because of any of these things, but because I let someone other than God try to determine my worth.  Dang it's hard work to make sure that doesn't happen.

Then if you do let those thoughts wander in, it takes so long to unravel what is TRUE and what isn't.   Who turned the channel when I wasn't looking and brought up those thoughts anyway?  How did they wiggle in and find just what button to push.  I guess that's when you realize it's not isolation or how clean my house is, it's how I see myself in the eyes of God.  My self worth is not determined by anybody else but me and my God.  So I turn the channel back and turn up the volume on the truth and know that it takes daily work to make sure the truth shines bright in my life.

  1. Amen. I completely agree. Heavenly Father's opinion is what matters most.
