The cross country meet is sneaking up on me. I'm not going to say I just need to get through it, but the ride is bumpy. I wish Monday wasn't a holiday. I kind of need the staff to be at school to help me. I did get a few things done today and I will just have to work my priorities to get things done tomorrow so I have time Tuesday and Wednesday to get meet stuff together.
MOPS is my next big project. Tuesday I need to have name tags done for the steering team. I will make that and baking for the meeting my priority tomorrow. Well now that you've read my list of things to do I'm sure you feel enlightened.
This weekend has been busy with almost all of Martin's grandparents here. Today I actually got to hear the sermon at church. My hubby is a pretty good preacher if I do say so myself. He preached on the gospel and tied it into the second reading from the book of James (which Martin Luther wasn't really fond of due to it's focus on works and deeds and not faith). I liked the story my hubby told about a man walking into church and not being able to find a seat. He saw a large empty space in front of the first pew and so he walked up and sat down there. People started talking about how we can't have that person in church and someone should tell him to move or leave. A man who was well respected in the congregation got up to move to the front and the people said "good. he'll take care of this." Instead of asking the man to leave or move he sat down with him and told him "nobody sits alone in our church". We're not alone in our church. Ever!
