NYC

So my husband will be taking a trip soon up to the boundary waters near Canada.  Will I be going?  No!  Is there a bathroom?  Showers?  No.  All reasons why a vacation camping does not sound like a vacation at all to me.  

So I will be heading to NYC in Nov. to see my sister.  My own turn at a vacation.  I will be taking a friend along.  Probably have to drag her on the plane (she's not really a fan of flying) and we will live it up in NYC.  Okay, probably not live it up.  Unless by live it up you mean visiting the Lion Brand Yarn Studio, possibly seeing Martha Stewart, and taking in a show.  Oh and my friend really wants some purses.  Someone today asked me if I was taking my son.  Really?  Didn't I just explain that my hubby was going to the boundary waters for vacation (without a child) and I was going to NYC as my vacation?  So, it would probably not be a vacation if I tried to fly with a two year old by myself to NYC of all places.  Then to haul him around with the help of my sister who actually has other things to do, does not sound like a vacation at all.  So no, Martin is not going.  I'm going all by myself with my friend.  Should be a darn good time if you ask me!  I just can't wait!
