Thursday- I was suppose to go sand bagging with the youth group in Fargo, but Bryant has funeral #1 so I watch Martin. Bryant also find out that he will be doing funeral #2 sometime that weekend.
Friday- Martin starts to look a little sick, but I don't worry about. He then sleeps like crap and sounds like a dog/seal when he coughs. Oh no!
Saturday- The nurses hot line tells me to take Martin to urgent care. Luckily Jana comes with me because Bryant is performing funeral #2. Martin has croup. It's viral so all they can do is give him a shot of some kind of steroid to help open up his airway. I'm not sure if it has actually worked. Bryant accidentally runs over our extra garage door opener while pulling into the garage. I forgot that I had dropped it trying to get Martin in from the doctor and Bryant ran it over. He fixed it with some tape. It still kind of works. Luckily I only use it for walks etc.
Sunday- I have 5 things to do at church and Martin is too sick to go. I get almost everything cancelled or rescheduled except I forget I'm suppose to do opening. Dang it. Hopefully the accompanist wasn't too mad. Bryant has 3 meetings after church during the day. Meeting #1 for the youth and 4 of them don't show up. I'm frustrated, but Martin is so pathetic looking that I work on making him better. Meeting #2 for the youth and one of them decides to just skip out. So 5 of them don't show up. I'm frustrated, but then Martin barfed on me so I forgot all about it. Bryant walked in from the meetings just as Martin finished tossing his cookies all over me. Thank goodness hew as there to help. We get him cleaned up and then we start on dinner. I probably didn't monitor his liquid intake close enough and just as Bryant was leaving for meeting #3 Martin barfs again. This time all over me. I need a whole new outfit. Bryant gets me a towel and some clothes and leave for his meeting. Awesome. Martin finally goes down but ends up sleeping bad again so he comes to bed with us and doesn't sleep more than 2 or 3 hours without waking up and coughing.
Monday- I have a dentist appointment to fill a cavity at the crack of dawn. Martin is doing pretty well and we take a 3 hour nap together. We'll see how tonight goes. It's been a crazy week.
I'm hoping to still go to Pier 1 to work if the weather doesn't stop me. I'm really excited for a little working vacation. I hope Martin makes some improvements tonight and tomorrow. With croup he can be fine during the day, but get the cough again at night for a while. He starting to look a little better and maybe actually getting him to eat something will perk him up a bit.
